JustFaith
“We are all missionary disciples” ~ Pope Francis
A key part of our adult faith formation here at Bellarmine is education in missionary discipleship connected to Catholic Social Teaching. The USCCB provide an excellent introduction to Catholic Social Teaching here. We offer a variety of opportunities to explore Catholic Social Teaching throughout the year, including both reflection and discussion groups and immersions to non-profits locally and across the country. One program that we have used for nearly twenty years is JustFaith. JustFaith is a 24-week small-group process of prayer, reading, dialogue, and immersive action that provides a community through which participants can grow in their commitment to care for our marginalized neighbors and become advocates for justice.
JustFaith also offers several shorter, 8-week modules that we make available to small faith groups within the parish. Current offerings focus on immigration, mass incarceration, hunger, war/peace, and Christian-Muslim relations.
