Sr. Tracey Horan, SP
Associate Director of Education and Advocacy Kino Border Initiative Tracey Horan, S.P., is a Sister of Providence of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods, IN and Associate Director of Education and Advocacy for the Kino Border Initiative in Nogales, Sonora and Arizona. She has ministered with Latinx migrant communities in a variety of contexts for nearly a decade. She previously worked as a teacher and then community organizer, and recently celebrated 6 years as a religious sister. |
Dr. John Sniegocki
Associate Professor of Religious Ethics Xavier University John Sniegocki is an associate professor of Religious Ethics and has taught at Xavier University since 2001. His main areas of interest include Catholic social teaching, globalization, economic ethics, war and nonviolence, grassroots social movements, ecology, food ethics, contemplative spirituality, and Buddhist-Christian dialogue. He is the author of Catholic Social Teaching and Economic Globalization: The Quest for Alternatives (Marquette University Press, 2009), as well as various journal articles and book chapters. John serves as director of Xavier University’s Peace and Justice Studies minor. |
Rev. Deacon Royce Winters
Director of African American Catholic Ministries Archdiocese of Cincinnati Rev. Deacon Royce Winters has been the Director of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati’s Office of African American Pastoral Ministries since 2005. Deacon Winters has also been serving as Pastoral Administrator for the Church of the Resurrection [Bond Hill] since 2010. The Church of the Resurrection was formed on August 1, 2010 through the closure and merger of four predominantly African American Catholic parishes. In 2015, he was sworn in as chaplain for the Cincinnati Fire Department. Prior to his Archdiocesan assignment, Deacon Winters was employed by the Cincinnati Police Department for over twenty-six years in various law enforcement assignments (Patrol, Drug Enforcement, Criminal Investigations, S.W.A.T. Negotiator, and Forensic Polygraph Behavioral Specialist). He has served as a forensic behavioral specialist for Adult and Juvenile Sex Offender Treatment Programs in Ohio and Kentucky; and for the U.C. Health Department of Forensic Psychiatry and Behavioral Neuroscience. Rev. Deacon Royce Winters has been married to Rita Winters for forty-five years. They have three children and two grandchildren. |
