About Us
Bellarmine Chapel (St. Robert Bellarmine Parish) is one of the 213 parishes that form part of the Catholic Archdiocese of Cincinnati; Bellarmine is located on the Jesuit campus of Xavier University.
Our parish is an intentional faith community—we draw people of all ages from more than sixty zip codes. We strive to be a welcoming community. Each time we celebrate the Eucharist, we try to be conscious of the fact that we are gathered, transformed, and sent by Christ. As a Jesuit parish, we also seek to deepen God’s life in us through prayer practices based on the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius Loyola. These practices enable us to find God in all things and they empower us to work together to make our world a home for all. Located on the campus of a Jesuit university, we are frequently blessed with the intellectual contributions of faculty and we, in turn, are often able to serve the pastoral needs of our faculty, staff and students. We are proud to be a Jesuit parish, formed by a rich Catholic tradition, shaped also by the struggles of our times, and strengthened regularly at the Eucharistic table from which we are sent to continue Christ's mission. MISSION STATEMENT
Bellarmine Chapel is a Catholic faith community that strives to live out the teaching and example of Jesus Christ in the spiritual tradition of St. Ignatius of Loyola. We seek to be a parish where lives are transformed by the new and creative ways of the Holy Spirit. Nourished at the table of the Eucharist, we are sent on mission to make disciples, serve those in need, work for justice, and welcome all with love.
