What is the Service Network?
The Service Network is a group of parishioners who
are willing to volunteer their time to help other parishioners in need.
What services are provided?
The Service Network provides many services to
parishioners in need. These include driving people to doctor and other
appointments, visiting parishioners who may be in the hospital or shut-in at
home for extended periods, taking people communion, providing meals on a
temporary basis, or possibly doing some light housework or laundry for someone
who is temporarily unable to take care of these things for themselves.
How do I volunteer?
To volunteer, please call the Chapel Office at
745-3398. Let us know what services you feel capable of helping with.
A list is kept of all those who have volunteered, and volunteers are called only
on an occasional, as-needed basis– maybe once every 3-6 months, depending on
the needs of the parish. Also, if any small groups would like to offer
“group services” (providing meals for a week, etc.) your help is also
welcome.
How do I access the Service Network?
If you find yourself in need of help that you think
the Service Network can provide, please call the chapel office at 745-3398.
Please remember that it may take time to contact a volunteer, so it helps
if you are able to anticipate needs (such as doctor’s appointments) and call a
couple of days in advance.
