Outreach Ministries

Our Outreach Ministries at a glance:
Parishioners have led our St. Vincent De Paul Conference since its founding in 2006.  Our Vincentians faithfully conduct home visits to neighborhood friends in need each Saturday to offer emergency and financial assistance and spiritual support. The St. Vincent de Paul Society’s aim is to combine spirituality with charitable works. In fact, the continued spiritual development of our members enables us to more fully serve others. Truly, we are neighbors helping neighbors. If you have a question or need assistance, please call 745-1950 and leave a message. A volunteer will return your call.

Our Community Care Network is available to parishioners with special requests as needed. Our Care Network includes: helping parishioners recovering from surgery/illness with meals, basic errands or cleaning needs; driving parishioners to medical appointments; providing transportation to Mass; and bereavement and support ministry.  Click here to volunteer for or access our parish Care Network.

Bellarmine parishioners also actively support our Habitat for Humanity ministry, Tender Mercies lunch fellowship ministry and Interfaith Hospitality Network outreach to guest families in homelessness.  In support of local youth in at-risk neighborhoods, parishioners coordinate tutoring and mentoring ministries at Oyler School (Price Hill) and Frederick Douglass School (Walnut Hills).

In spiritual solidarity with the poor/ marginalized, parishioners support those in need through the Ignatian Spirituality Project (Ignatian retreats for persons in homelessness), and Kairos Prison Ministry Retreats (retreats for inmates at Southern Ohio Correctional Facility and Lebanon Correctional Facility).

Our global solidarity ministries include: Fair Trade Coffee/Tea monthly sales; coordinating family sponsors through Christian Foundation for Children and Aging; and our “Friends of St. Al’s” Project with St. Aloysius Gonzaga Jesuit Secondary in the Kibera slum of Nairobi, Kenya.
