TAKE ANOTHER LOOK
Do you know someone who has been away from active participation in the church? Or perhaps this describes you? Bellarmine Chapel is beginning a process designed to help people "take another look" at where they are and where the church is now. Participants in the process will have an opportunity to reflect upon their own personal growth, to discuss their spirituality, and to explore what they seek from this community. If they have been hurt or alienated by the church, there will be discussions about how a path to reconciliation might be found.
There are two opportunities to attend an initial meeting on either Sunday, February 3, 2008 at 1:00 PM or Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at 7:00 PM. Both meetings will take place in the Gallagher Center. After the initial meetings the participants will divide into smaller groups and decide how often and where to meet. For further information and to RSVP please contact Jim Crosby at 513-745-3317 or crosbyj@xavier.edu. We are requesting that individuals RSVP to that we can have a suitable room for the number of participants.

BEWARE ST VINCENT DE PAUL SCAM
A group of people claiming to represent the St. Vincent de Paul Society are approaching members of the public in the US in an attempt to solicit illegal funds. They are approaching people online (via popular chat programs such as MSN and Yahoo Messenger) or by e-mail. They claim they work for the St. Vincent De Paul Orphanage in the UK. This orphanage is in no way connected to the Society and does not even exist. Details at http://www.svp.org.uk/05news/newssvpfraudster.htm
CHILDREN’S BOOK DRIVE
The participants of one of Xavier University's Alternative Breaks trips are holding a children's book drive. Alternative Breaks is a campus club that provides an opportunity to hundreds of Xavier students to go on service trips during their Easter break. One of this year's trips will be to Buffalo, where the participants will be working with an organization that helps to resettle refugees, including children who need help learning English. Any (gently) used children's books that you can provide would be of great help to the organization. The book drive will take place between January 27 and March 13, and during that time books will be collected in a special donation box in Bellarmine Chapel. Questions? Contact Emily Chambers at chambers@xavier.edu. Your support is greatly appreciated.
