Adult Faith

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is a very active process here, to welcome new members into the church.  It is an ongoing program to provide a way to inquire about the Catholic community, and to prepare people to be initiated.   Baptized Christians from other communities are also welcome to consider these group sessions as a way of entering into full communion with Catholic life and worship.  Meetings take place weekly on Thursday evenings (biweekly during the summer), 7 to 9 p.m. in the Parish Center. All parishioners are invited to be involved in the work of hospitality, sponsoring, and catechesis, which makes this program vital.

Small Communities of Faith

Since 1989, we have encouraged the growth and life of Bellarmine Small Communities of Faith (BSC) in the parish.  New groups begin each January; and it is also possible, depending on circumstances, to join an existing group at other times.  The groups number from 7 to 14 members, and about 14 such groups function in the parish.  They provide opportunities for mutual support, faith sharing, personal presence, in open formats each person can feel comfortable with.  Meetings are scheduled weekly, when a group gets started, and bi-weekly thereafter.  A Core Team meets regularly to support these groups, convened by Richard Bollman, S.J.

Prayer Ministry

The Prayer Ministry of the parish responds to requests for the support of prayer, conveyed by a telephone chain.  Anyone is invited to join. There are no meetings, but a mailing list of members is maintained, and you can be involved by contacting Liz Keuffer at the office at 745-3398.

Bereavement Ministry

The Bereavement ministry requires caring support;  a need that is served by a team of liturgists, acolytes, and support people led by Ruth Steinert Foote.
